In Memoriam: Eric Smith

Eric John Smith, for many years a vice president at ZOME Energy Networks, passed away on Oct. 21, 2022.  The news was a shock to his co-workers and friends here at ZOME.  Eric is survived by his only child, Morgan McGregor Smith of Pittsburgh, PA and his two sisters Debbie Vaccaro and Cherri Cameron.

Eric first got involved with ZOME back in its seed financing round, became an advisor, eventually working at the company as vice president of business development.  Eric provided valuable advice and key consulting to ZOME at various times in the company’s journey.

Eric had a near 40-year career in the electric utility and smart energy sector. His previous roles including Managing Director at Navigant Consulting, GM and Global Practice Head for Smart Grid and Utility Consulting at Wipro Technologies, and Director of the Smart Grid group at Structure Consulting, later acquired by Accenture.

So much wisdom acquired, now lost.  We will miss you, Eric.
